Happy spring! We’ll be celebrating the start of the season with a busy schedule of events in April, including opera, pop folk and cabaret performances, as well as a photo presentation on the history of Wellesley.
On April 6, we’ll welcome singer-songwriter Kat Kennedy for a performance. A student at the prestigious Berklee College of Music, Kennedy regularly performs at popular venues around Boston, playing a mix of original pop folk pieces in addition to songs by Johnny Cash, Bill Withers, Vance Joy and a variety of others.
Are you an opera fan? Join us on April 9 for a performance by Opera on Tap Boston. This group of talented, classically-trained singers aims to promote opera as a viable, living and progressive art form by taking it out of concert halls and bringing it to unexpected venues.
Then, on April 12, Kathleen Fahey, Curator of the Wellesley Historical Society, will give a presentation entitled “Wellesley: Then & Now.” Using a variety of photographs from the Society’s archives, Fahey will show how Wellesley has evolved over time.
And, on April 16, we’ll welcome classically-trained singer and performer Vanessa Schukis for her acclaimed show “Delicious: A Food Cabaret.” This cabaret has earned many great reviews and is sure to be a delight.
