Full week of fun events

We're hosting a full week of diverse events starting on May 17 through May 22 at Waterstone at Wellesley, including several musical performances, a golf tournament and a visit from the author John DiNatale.

Local favorite Steve Lanzillotta will begin the week with a piano performance covering the works of George Gershwin, the famous composer and pianist known for "Rhapsody in Blue" and "An American in Paris."

Then on Monday, the musical duo Sweet is visiting for a performance. The duo is made up of musician Rick Walsh, a Waterstone favorite, and vocalist Gina O'Donahue.

The concerts will be broken up by a golf tournament with the Wellesley Council on Aging on Tuesday on Waterstone's putting green. The relaxing tournament will be followed by cocktails and appetizers on in Waterstone's beautiful courtyard.

Then on Wednesday, the multi-talented entertainer Michael Dardis is visiting to showcase his guitar, piano, harmonica and vocal skills. His performance will be followed by a visit from author John DiNatale who will discuss his memoir, "The Family Business: Memoirs of a Boston Private Eye."

DiNatale is the son of a former Boston police detective who investigated the Boston Strangler, joining his father as a private detective. The memoir elaborates on his life as a private detective with his father investigating such cases as the theft of a Stradivarius violin and a Louis XIV desk, large-scale gray-marketeering and missing children.

The talk is the first of three in our summer author series.

Finally, on Friday, entertainer Dave Becker is visiting to play the saxophone, guitar and piano. Becker is a popular performer in the Boston area and we're excited to welcome him back.
