Senior Art Show and visiting animals in June

June is going to be a busy month at Waterstone. We're hosting nearly 20 events and several residents are participating in the Third Annual Senior Art Show, which is showing nearly all month at the Wellesley Free Library.

The art show, a collaboration between the Wellesley Council on Aging, Waterstone and the Wellesley Free Library, will feature the work of more than 30 senior artists across a variety of mediums. The exhibit will open at the library on June 2 and close on June 29, with a community art reception that is open to the public on Sunday, June 14 from 2 to 4 p.m. Contact the library at 781-235-1610 for more details on when you can view the work.

At Waterstone, we're hosting two events next week, including a visit from Animal World Experience and a lecture on world finance by Mary Beth Mahoney.

On Monday, Matt Gabriel, founder of Animal World Experience, is visiting with several unusual critters. The organization's hands-on animal programs focus on local and exotic wildlife, the importance of protecting endangered species and responsible pet ownership.

Then, on Thursday, Mary Beth Mahoney, director, wealth advisor at Wellesley Investment Partners, will lead a lecture on world finance, discussing the modern financial landscape and investing in today's economy.

Be sure to check our online calendar for other June events!
