Jazz, Monet and Piano at Waterstone

Join us during the last week of June for an evening of jazz, a discussion of Impressionism’s founding father and an afternoon of piano classics from the Great American Songbook.

The fun will begin on Friday, June 24 with a performance by the Patrice Monahan Jazz Trio at 7:30 p.m. Fronted by pianist and vocalist Patrice Monahan, the trio performs a blend of swing, Latin, funk and blues, in addition to jazz standards.

Then, on Monday, June 27, we’ll welcome artist, educator and Art Matters owner Jane Blair for a presentation on Claude Monet at 2:30 p.m. Monet was one of the founders of the French Impressionist painting movement in the nineteenth century. His paintings are beloved for their focus on nature, atmosphere and light.

Finally, on Wednesday, June 4, pianist Archie Richards will join us to perform American Standards at 4 p.m. Richards performs frequently in the Boston area, and his songbook selections include the music of Cohan, Rodgers, Gershwin, Bacharach and others.
