A jam-packed week of events

I hope you know our address because Waterstone at Wellesley has a packed scheduled of events starting on Saturday!

First, the musical duo Sweet performs Saturday evening. Sweet is made up of Waterstone favorite Rick Walsh and vocalist Gina O’Donahue. Walsh is a frequent performer here and we can’t wait to see his collaboration with O’Donahue.

Then on Tuesday, author Curtis Martin, a Professor Emeritus at Merrimack College, will discuss the history of whaling in New England. The lecture will give you a chance to learn all about the ships that sailed and the life aboard them. Whaling was particularly prominent in this area eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.

There is even more history to learn on Wednesday with Professor Gary Hylander, who will discuss the Watergate scandal and President Nixon’s subsequent resignation—the first president to resign from office in history.

Finally, on Thursday, we’re hosting the last concert in our Summer Courtyard Concert Series. The Wellesley Symphony Orchestra String Quartet will perform in out courtyard just as the sun sets. If you haven’t made it to any concerts in the series, now is your chance!
